Estació de Sants is Barcelona's main train station with links to both Metro (Underground) and mainline railways, both domestic and international. This train station also provides links to the Barcelona Airport, El Prat. The station provides a 'luggage storage' facility which is perfect for travellers who have checked out of their hotel and are spending their last day in Barcelona. If you do not wish to carry heavy bags and valuables around with you, this is a very convenient service to take advantage of.
You will find this provision located towards the rear of the train station (next to McDonalds). It offers you two locker sizes to choose from; Small lockers for bags (80cm x 60cm x 40cm) like hand-luggage or an overnight bag. There are also large lockers (90cm x 60cm x 50cm) which will accommodate a regular suitcase.
The lockers are guarded by security staff who will also need to 'check your bags' for obvious safety reasons. Much like check-in at the airport, your bags will be screened in an 'x-ray' machine before you can deposit them.
