1303 ReviewsDiscover the best of Barcelona on a tour by land, sea, and air. Stroll through the Gothic Quarter, enjoy bird’s eye views on a helicopter flight, and sail by the coastline.
The Allium Restaurant in Barcelona is not only small but comfortable. The service is friendly and the waiters are always ready to serve you with a smile at the small tables with cloth napkins. Don't go mad trying to discover the meaning of the symbols on the wall, it's free artwork, just relax and enjoy the food that the chef Jordi will prepare for you.
Jordi discovered his passion for cooking and realised at a very young age how important Catalan cuisine had been for his family through the generations. He is also very proud of his kitchen and allows access to anyone who wishes to see how the tasty dishes offered every day for lunch and dinner are prepared.
At the very back of the restaurant you will discover an almost hidden room for up to five people, ideal for any kind of private celebration. Just below lies a little cellar where excellent wines and cavas are stored at a perfect temperature.
The restaurant's daily menu offers a varied range of Catalan cuisine including other Mediterranean influences and in line with the slow food philosophy, placing emphasis on offering seasonal and local products. What really stands out though is the effort that everyone makes to offer an almost non-stop daily service with a smile.
The Allium restaurant starts the day by offering delicious breakfasts. If you want to experience a traditional Catalan breakfast, then do not hesitate to try the organic bread and eggs, natural cured meats and sausages (embotits) and typical pastries such as butter croissants, 'ensaimadas', etc...
The Allium restaurant in Barcelona can be immediately recognised by the two palm trees at its door. It's located on a quaint pedestrian street next to the Sant Jaume square in the Gothic district, near the impressive Catalan Government and City Hall buildings. The street where the restaurant can be found, 'Call Jueu' (Jewish Street), pays homage to the former Jewish settlement in the area. We highly recommend a stroll through the narrow streets after a delicious meal at Allium Restaurant.
